New face of Patriotism
Hmm...i have just got a letter which implores all "patriotic" indians to change their orkut display pics to the Indian flag. As if it really means something...
You wanna be patriotic? Stop bad mouthing the country the other 364 days of the year....

did the media imploring everyone to 'Vote for the Taj' as one of the new 7 wonders of the World mean anything?
no...it wasn't patriotic. but every indian who voted for the Taj thought theye were doing a partiotic deed....regardless of whether they'd ever visited the Taj or any one of the other 'wonders' the Taj was competing against. THAT'S the new face of patriotism for u. we stand up for the national anthem, not bcos we understand it, but bcos we've been told that that's the way to show ur respect to the country.
